tekom Netherlands has been established as a new tekom Europe country organization

tekom Europe is growing! We are pleased to welcome tekom Netherlands to tekom Europe. The tekom Europe executive board made the decision to establish the new country organization tekom Netherlands on May 26, 2021.

tekom Europe was founded in 2013. Today, together with tekom Netherlands, tekom Europe brings together 12 country organizations and 3 corporate members (COM&TEC in Italy, tekom Deutschland and Tecom Schweiz). The new country organization currently has about 45 members who will from now on be able to benefit from local contacts and events in addition to the advantages of tekom Europe membership.

The founding decision of the executive board included the appointment of Diego Schiavon, Jan van der Veen (spokesperson), Henk Boxma (finance), and Luyao Zhang as the initiative committee for the startup period of the new country organization.

In the next few weeks, the call for applications for the role of the delegate of tekom Netherlands in the assembly of delegates (AoD), the highest decision-making body of tekom Europe, will start. The AoD currently has 20 members. Based on the current membership figures, tekom Netherlands represents its members with one additional delegate in the AoD. Once the call for applications is closed, preparations for the elections will begin. The candidate with the highest number of votes is elected delegate, and the candidate with the second highest number of votes is elected substitute delegate.
