tekom Europe Information-Gathering Meeting on the possible Revision of IEC/IEEE 82079-1:2019 Ed.2 – a successful start

tekom Europe conducted an interesting Information-Gathering Meeting, hosted by COM&TEC, about the possible Revision of IEC/IEEE 82079-1:2019, the most important standard for Technical Communicators. 
On 23 September 2022 participants from Brazil, Italy, Poland and Spain met virtually to learn more about the process currently underway to inquire, whether a revision of EN IEC/IEEE 82079-1 Ed.2 ‘Preparation of information for use (instructions for use) of products – Part 1: Principles and general requirements’ may be necessary. 
In the 1.5 hour online meeting, participants and panelists identified and discussed the initial topics that could or should be included in an upcoming revision.
