tcworld conference and tekom fair 2020 will be held in purely digital form for the first time

After observing the situation for a long time and testing various concepts and scenarios, tekom has decided with a heavy heart to go the purely digital route in 2020 for the tcworld conference and tekom fair. In order to offer a live experience to as many participants as possible, the event will take place over 5 days.

The numerous positive responses to tekom SummerCON 2020 in June have ultimately encouraged us to take the purely digital route for the tcworld conference and tekom fair, which will take place in parallel. After all, even in difficult times, tekom wants to offer all those working in technical communication a reliable platform for the exchange of current specialist knowledge and the establishment of business contacts.

24 online lectures daily and live on 5 days!

From November 2–6, 24 lectures will be presented daily in German and English, spread over four topic tracks. After each presentation, participants will have the opportunity to chat and discuss in the meetups. All presentations will be recorded so that participants will still have access to them three months after the meeting.

Relevant and applicable knowledge for everyday work is offered in almost every topic area of technical communication – from terminology, UX and mobile documentation to software documentation and standards. Following the positive response to the Call for Papers, the presentations and workshops will be selected and packed into an exciting program over the next few days. Even digitally, the qualitative demands on the speakers and the content of the presentations remain the same!

tekom fair 2020: Exhibitors and visitors meet virtually

In addition to the tcworld conference, the tekom fair, with software manufacturers and service providers from all over the world, will also be a virtual event. It offers technical communication professionals, primarily technical writers from almost all industry sectors, a unique opportunity for a comprehensive market overview.

An event app is designed to help conference and trade fair visitors make contact with each other and, for example, to follow the exhibitors' tool presentations. At the same time, this app can be used to arrange appointments for virtual talks with the respective exhibitors.
